Vietcong

In 2003, a team of Czech programmers released Vietcong, an entertaining, Vietnam-war-based game that is still played to this day (when heavily patched ☻). I've heard that the original developers will release a newer version at an unknown point in the future. A version that boasts 4k resolution and whatever else new games boast these days...

This game is playable on computers that run the Windows operating system, once it is installed via two seperate CDs and patched. Thankfully, a portable and patched version has been created and uploaded to the internet as a zip file. Therefore, downloading this file and unzipping it will allow you to play the game straight away. To play with other people over the internet, you must first overwrite or edit your "hosts" file in the "\Windows\system32\drivers\etc" directory. The several links I have included below will enable you to play Vietcong online with people from around the world.
